Electric starter set for 12V VAPE, engine M500–M700 (MZA) – Simson

Electric starter – complete set for 12V VAPE ignition (MZA), 3rd generation is an original replacement part designed for Simson motorcycles and scooters with M500–M700 (M531–M743) engines. The starter is specially designed for VAPE ignition systems, with the starter gear adapted to the VAPE A70-R23 rotor series.

The set is suitable for old and new 50–70 cc engine covers on M531, M541 and M741 engines. Please note that the new alternator cover does not include an opening for the speedometer drive, and modification is required.

⚠️ This set is not suitable for Simson KR51/2, as the frame cross member and exhaust system do not provide sufficient space for installation.

For engines without a neutral switch / idle contact, additional installation of such a switch is strongly recommended to meet legal requirements. The appropriate kit is available under MZA 60064.

The set does not include wiring with relay – this must be purchased separately.
