Exhaust elbow 21mm, TUNING (CZ) - Babetta 210
Can be used for:
Stronger exhaust elbow for Babetta 210 and 225. Inner diameter is 21mm.
The original exhaust elbow is one of the brakes when increasing engine power. Origo has an inner diameter of 17.5mm, i.e. 3.5mm less. Suitable for modified cylinders.
Sealing the elbow joint with the exhaust is solved by modifying the nut, which has an inner diameter of 23mm. It is necessary to drill or grind a 23mm hole in the exhaust. For example, with a file, a technical cutter, etc.. In any case, for best use, it is suitable for use together with a resonant exhaust.
At the flange, the end of the pipe is turned to a smaller diameter to make room for the nuts. The flange has original dimensions, there is no need to change the pin spacing.
The necessary modification is to widen the cylinder exhaust outlet to a diameter of 21mm. (only the aluminum expands a little). The procedure is the same as the instructions we have for the Pioneer.
For the correct functioning and utilization of the maximum potential of the modified cylinder together with the 21mm exhaust elbow, the exhaust outlet on the cylinder needs to be modified. And how to do that? Let's take a look.
For the modification you will need:
The whole modification consists of stretching the cylinder exhaust outlet from the original diameter to 21mm. We will only grind the aluminum casing, not the cylinder liner. The modification is therefore very simple and anyone can do it.
First, we will make a template according to which we will grind. You can cut it out of paper according to the drawing below, use a burned flange, or outline it with a compass.
Using a flange (we recommend - more accurate)
Outlining with a compass
Once you have the outlet outlined, you can grind. So gradually expand it to a diameter of 21mm as shown in the photo below. Be careful not to grind and get an edge between the channel and the elbow flange. If this happens, remove the edge by widening the exhaust elbow flange.
Here is the final result. Try to make the expansion gradual and without any edges (like in the photo).
Pay attention to the exhaust gasket, it must be stretched to 21mm as well.
