Motorcycles of the ČZ 450–475 model series represent an advanced generation of popular Czechoslovak “Kývačka” motorcycles produced in Strakonice during the 1960s. They followed the earlier small JAWA–ČZ 355 and 356 models and introduced a more modern frame design, improved suspension, and reliable two-stroke engines in three displacement classes – 125, 175 and 250 cc.
This model range includes the smaller displacement versions ČZ 125 type 453 and ČZ 125 type 473, followed by the widely used ČZ 175 type 450 and its modernized version ČZ 175 type 470. The top of the range consisted of the quarter-liter models – ČZ 250 type 455 and the sporty ČZ 250 type 475, which still enjoy a reputation for strength and durability, suitable for both touring and sport riding.
